ABOUT OUR PHILANTHROPY

Arthritis

Alpha Omicron Pi’s international philanthropy is arthritis, and our philanthropy partner is the Arthritis Foundation. Since 1967, members and chapters have raised millions of dollars to fund research, provide resources, and support those affected by arthritis, a disease that disproportionately impacts women and also affects children.

AOII’s philanthropy dollars support several impactful Arthritis Foundation initiatives, including the Juvenile Arthritis Power Pack program, Juvenile Arthritis Camps, the Juvenile Arthritis Family Summit, and the 24/7 Helpline. Our Canadian sisters proudly support The Arthritis Society of Canada, furthering our shared mission to fight arthritis and improve lives.

OUR Local Efforts

We’re proud to continue this legacy of service at Theta Psi! Here’s how we’re making an impact in our community: In the past year, we raised $5,000 through our philanthropic efforts. Our chapter participates in philanthropy dinners each semester at The University of Toledo and in the spring we participate in Pie a Pi to support arthritis awareness and research. In addition to our support of arthritis, locally we support Sisters for Soldiers in honor and memory of the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces.
